History
Joseph (Joey) Pruski was born and raised in the small rural community of Kosciusko, TX just outside of San Antonio.
Music has played a huge role in Joey’s life, even from a young age. In high school, Joey was awarded outstanding performer at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition - the highest award that can be given.
After high school, Joey continued playing music on the side for several years. In 2011, Joey signed on with Cody Johnson who was only up and coming at the time. From there, he embarked on a 14 plus year journey, starting off at dive bars and dancehalls. Cut to today, Joey is now playing sold out shows in arenas, baseball and football stadiums. He credits this journey to hard work and a little bit of luck.
Joey continues to tour with Cody Johnson and has had the opportunity to record on a number of Cody’s tracks, as well as numerous television and award show appearances.
When he is not on the road, Joey spends his days off with his beautiful wife Lauren at their home in Kosciusko as they build their family.
Joey joined the Clover Crew in 2025, and wears our headwear on stage every night.
His favorite hats include the Lucky Heather Silver, USA Flag Heather, and the Texas Perf.

Q- Who was your biggest mentor?
My biggest mentor was my dad- he was my biggest fan, always encouraged me to chase my dreams, never give up, and give my all.
Q- What is your greatest achievement (to date)?
Circling the globe! In 2025 we got the chance to tour Ireland, Scotland, UK, Australia and New Zealand. It was a surreal experience to visit so many places and share our
music with the world.
Q- How do you “Live Lucky?”
Thomas Jefferson said, “I’m a great believer in luck, and I find that the harder I work the more I have of it.” I relate to this deeply—throughout my career, dedication and hard work have consistently led to great opportunities.
