Honolulu, HI -- Acclaimed PGA athlete Kyle Reifers has just obtained a highly coveted sponsorship with high-end lifestyle apparel company Black Clover. Reifers will be sporting his new Black Clover gear in the Sony Open in Hawaii this week.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Reifers had a highly successful and well decorated amatuer golfing career. He was ranked the #1 amateur in the world and was a part of the prestigious US Walker Cup Team in 2005. In 2006 he turned pro after a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships.
Reifers became only the 11th player in Tour history to win his first career start and the 19th to win on Tour as a Monday Qualifier, when he won the Chattanooga Classic in 2006. Reifers earned his PGA TOUR card in 2007.
Reifers has participated in the Web.com tour several years running, with 2 second place finishes in 2010 and 3 top 10 finishes in 2011. In 2015, Reifers had 4 top 14 finishes in the PGA Tour.
“We’re ecstatic to have Kyle on our team,” said Brett Wayment, President of Global Branding at Black Clover. “Kyle is a talented athlete and we couldn’t be happier to have him representing Black Clover. Kyle fully embraces life and chooses to make each day the best it can be. He truly exemplifies our company motto, ‘Live Lucky.’”
Reifers recently played at the Sony Open this past weekend.
